Paul Ferguson's Jumpers To Follow Novices' Limited Handicap Hurdle

Fair Flat winner for James Fanshawe but modest form at best in maiden hurdles for current stable, including only seventh on handicap debut in this sphere 6 weeks ago. Had wind surgery since.

Maiden pointer. Only modest form under Rules but he did shape with some encouragement with cheekpieces added (blinkered now) when 5 lengths fourth of 8 over 19.5f at Huntingdon a fortnight ago, weakening after taking second 2 out. That suggests this shorter trip may help. Considered.

Poor maiden hurdler in Ireland back in 2023 and pulled up in 4 points subsequently. Starts out for a new yard with plenty to prove.

Chase winner. Still a maiden over hurdles but placed 3 times in handicaps this summer and not disgraced when fifth at Kelso last time. Enters calculations.

Well held in juvenile/novice hurdles last season but has won 4 times at a low level on the Flat since so should be up to making an impact from a basement mark on his handicap debut in this sphere.

Third in 2m Stratford handicap hurdle in May. Has been unable to make an impact under both codes since but the fact her stable was back among the winners at the weekend provides some hope.

Flat winner in 2023 for Clive Cox and has proved inconsistent over hurdles for this yard. Also well held back on the Flat at Ffos Las on recent return from a break. Others are more persuasive.

Improved second in Wincanton handicap in March. Would have matched that form but for a late fall at Market Rasen in June and shaped as if better for the outing on recent return from a break at Hereford.
