Visor goes on for the first-time having been tried in cheekpieces (first-time) on his latest start but the headgear appeared to make little difference last time. Yet to really fire for this yard; now tries 1m (has won at 7f), initial try in a 0-70.

First-time blinkers appeared to bring about some improvement as she finally got off the mark over 1m at Hamilton. Failed in spectacular fashion to match that effort under a penalty (race may have come too soon); now 10lb higher than her last win.

Back to 1m having failed to back up his best career-run that he produced on his penultimate start (handicap debut). May well have failed to settle that well last time with the trip (1m2f) also finding him out (should stay on pedigree); not ignored.

Having worn cheekpieces for his last two starts more severe headgear in the shape of first-time blinkers are now called for. Got away on terms last time (has suffered from some slow starts) but hard to be persuaded despite the easing mark.

One of three in this race trying new headgear for the first-time (cheekpieces in this case); slow away last time but did return to some sort of form (took a keen hold). Often starts slowly, far from sure to be in the same sort of form this time.

Still to win a race (0-12) he's run some fairly low-key races for this yard having previously been with Mick Channon. Tried at a variety of trips he ran one of his lesser races last time but remains on the same mark; needs easing in the weights.

Steadily worked her way down the handicap and has been hinting at coming good having only one previous race (on debut). Underlined recent promise last time when not getting the best of runs; mark of 62 to exploit in this.

Best effort so far has come over this trip and he looked unsuited by the 7f trip here last time coming back off a break. Dropped 12lb in three handicap starts (runs off career-low mark); may well be able to show more when given a stamina test.

Handicap debutante who has some very limited form to judge him on but may do better now he's switched to this sphere although the mark is hardly lenient. Hard to be confident unless there was some market support in his favour.

Nursery winner last year over 1m off a 2lb lower mark she's fared poorly in a couple of starts this year. Finished last on her most recent run from 3lb out of the weights; plenty to prove at present with others far more persuasive.

Knocked at the door on several occasions this year and arguably a little unlucky more than once. May well have had his chance for now though with his progress having stalled in his last two starts; needs to find himself again.

The two most interesting runners are fillies with slight preference given to SOOTABILITY after her last run at Haydock where she was unlucky not to finish closer than her eventual third. That placing could have been a whole lot better with a clearer run and given that the pace may not be strong that edges the Fahey filly in front of My Ukulele as the suggestion. John Quinn’s filly is improving but a strong pace is what she needs and that may not transpire. Mecca’s Gift and Power Player aren’t out of this although both need to bounce back from moderate starts last time. Iron Mike back up in trip is another who can be considered although a greater test of stamina than this may yet be needed.
