Timeform rate the older fillies as having an advantage here with Cinderella's Dream (124) and Crimson Advocate (123) topping the ratings by at least 5lb. Another four-year-old, Elmalka, is next in line with January considered the best of the three-year-olds. German-trained raider Lady Ilze slots in at number six in the list ahead of Elwateen, the only filly in the race with the p for potential next to her name.

Fran Berry Insight
A return to the July course in Newmarket for the Falmouth Stakes and a slightly different scenario here for a number of the runners who competed at Royal Ascot.
Cinderella's Dream, our current market leader, ran a very good race in second in the Duke Of Cambridge on the round mile at Ascot and it looked like she made a winning move before being picked up by reopposing rival Crimson Advocate.
Both were ridden cold on that occasion and having kicked early in the straight Cinderella's Dream's stride began to shorten as Crimson Advocate came over the top to win in impressive style.
You can see the merits with each of them and Running Lion looks the possible pace angle yet again in a race where most of the runners seem to find their best being held up.
Elmalka, last year's 1000 Guineas winner, is certainly one of those and she should be all the better for her couple of runs this season, while Atsila, who's an interesting one for Donnacha O'Brien, is a lightly-raced filly who has done a lot in a short space of time.
The German-trained filly, Lady Ilze, also looks a hold-up performer, so I wonder if JANUARY could gain a tactical advantage here. She's had the benefit of two runs this season, could be at her peak coming here and the 9lb weight-for-age could easily swing things in her favour against the aforementioned older fillies.
The daughter of Kingman stayed on well to be third from a wide draw in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot and the best conceivably could be still to come for January.
Ryan Moore will be able to ride her very much on the pace on this occasion and it can play that way as a speed favouring track. If she gets a lead off Running Lion she could be in position to strike first and with that crucial allowance she may well get the better of her opposition.
Timeform Pace Map

Pace Forecast: Weak
Draw Bias: N/A
Specific Pace Hint: Hold-up horses aren’t generally favoured at this trip here and the anticipated steady pace ought to mean ELMALKA will be better placed than CINDERELLA'S DREAM.
Individual Price Hint : RUNNING LION can be expected to race close up but despite how things promise to unfold has a record of disappointing after trading much lower than Betfair SP.
