Tom George's charge is a useful novice hurdler and ran very well when third to Angels Breath at Ascot. Capable of better and starts life in handicaps from a mark of 137 which looks workable. Must go close in a competitive heat.

Only front-runner in the field here and could prove be very hard to peg back. Went too hard in the Christmas Hurdle last time but this is an easier opportunity and he looks sure to run a huge race.

Favoured by the conditions of the race and the sharp track is more likely to suit him than The Last Samuri. Taking a big drop in class, he looks a good Saturday bet for the Jane Williams team.

Venetia Williams' team continue to go well and this eight-year-old finished second behind Waiting Patiently at Carlisle on his last start. He has a long absence to overcome but will be fit and looks potentially well treated.
