28/1, shaped as if better for the run on debut at York (6f, firm ground) 3 weeks ago, making a mid-race move but not sustaining it. Capable of better but this is surely a bridge too far at this stage.

Promising second at Carlisle (5f) on debut and built on that when scoring at Hamilton (6f) last week, still showing inexperience when it seemed he might sweep right past the front-running second. Type to go on improving.

0-4 but back on track when third at Chester (6f) 3 weeks ago and was a bit better than the result considering the front runner did him no favours early. This is surely too tough.

Knew his job and went with plenty of enthusiasm when making a winning debut at Musselburgh (5f), although merely matched that form when midfield in C&D contest 7 weeks ago, running out of steam late on. More needed.

Much improved from debut when winning 5f Naas maiden (Kansas third) but not so good behind impressive stablemate Albert Einstein in 6f Curragh Group 3 next time. This is easier back in trip.

9/2, made a successful debut in 5f Catterick maiden 3 weeks ago for Dylan Cunha, proving way too good for experienced rivals and eased a length near finish. Sure to progress for new connections.

Form of his debut run at Windsor worked out and he became another next-time-out winner from that race as he bagged a good prize at Bath a fortnight ago, quickening clear. Will go on improving and he's on the shortlist.

Created a good impression when justifying support at Goodwood (5f) on debut 5 weeks ago from subsequent winner Logi Bear and ran well behind the promising Maximized in the Woodcote at Epsom. Could feature back down in trip.

All the rage in the betting and had little trouble getting off the mark in 4-runner 5f Thirsk maiden on debut 23 days ago. Again attracted support and beaten only by 2 very promising and well-bred newcomers in hot York contest next time and should have more to offer.

Much improved when landing fast-ground 5f Doncaster maiden on second start and ran well to a point in the National Stakes at Sandown next time. This isn't any easier. Sports first-time blinkers (the only runner in the field in headgear).

Stepped up on first 2 runs when landing the odds at Newmarket (6f) a month ago and showed speed for a long way again in the Woodcote a fortnight ago. Looks vulnerable here.

Very green on debut but much sharper second time up and put his experience to good use as he struck in 5f Ayr maiden 7 weeks ago. Colin Keane booked but this is surely too tough.

Cost plenty and having shaped well on debut over C&D he impressed when landing 5f Beverley event, going sweetly on the bridle and quickening up well. Live contender.

Always well regarded (gone off odds-on all 3 starts) and improving fast, following up his Cork maiden victory in fine style in 5f Tipperary event 3 weeks ago, recording a performance good enough to win all bar one renewal of this race in the last decade. Big-money buy since and the one to beat.

£160,000 buy earlier this year and knew his job every bit as well as his strength in the betting suggested as he made a successful debut at Wetherby (5.5f), creating an excellent impression as he powered through the race and came clear with plenty in hand. Sure to improve.

4/1, proved a class apart in 5f firm-ground Leicester maiden on debut 6 weeks ago, showing a striking turn of foot. This is obviously much tougher and he's drawn in stall 1 but he could be good.

120,000 gns buy this year and shaped well splitting a pair of subsequent winners in 5f novice at Newmarket (14/1) on debut at the Guineas Meeting, just showing inexperience once he got to the front. Will improve.

$350,000 buy this year and overcame greenness to take 5.5f Keeneland maiden 8 weeks ago, outpaced early but making up plenty of ground to lead final 1f. Open to improvement and yard saddled the 2023 Queen Mary winner.

An expensive breeze-up buy and shaped very well in 5f York novice (11/4) 5 weeks ago, likely to have won on another day, passing all bar the winner in the final 1f after a nightmare run through. Open to significant improvement and could take a hand.

Cost £160,000 at the breeze-ups and made an encouraging start when fourth in 6f Leicester maiden 3 weeks ago. That race has produced winners but he'll do well to become another in this.

Old Is Gold, Azizam and Gaga Mate are others in the picture.
