Ran to a fair level when runner-up in an Exeter bumper in March 2023. Went one better in a point the following month but pulled up on Market Rasen hurdle debut in June 2024 (only run for Barry Brennan). Off 18 months ahead of this first outing for Fergal O'Brien.

Bumper winner for Ralph Beckett and progressed well on the Flat for the same trainer this year, scoring twice from 6 starts. Showed an aptitude for hurdling when 6 lengths second in 2m Hereford maiden 16 days ago and should improve.

Made the frame all 3 starts in bumpers and made a sound start over hurdles with a hood added when third of 11 in 2m Huntingdon maiden 5 weeks ago. He'll need to leave that bare form behind to go close here, though.

Unplaced on sole start in Irish point but he was a short-priced favourite on that occasion and has joined a top stable for his Rules career. It'll be very interesting to see what the betting makes of him.

Irish point recruit who Hereford bumper in March. Couldn't justify strong market support but still made an encouraging start to his hurdle career when second in C&D novice last month. Tongue tie added. Ben Jones on stablemate Lock Stock but this 6-y-o should still improve.

Point winner who was placed in a Newbury bumper and has shaped well in 2 hurdle starts this season, latterly second of 16 to a smart prospect at Exeter (18f, soft) 3 weeks ago. Big player for yard which won this race 2 years ago.

Runner-up on 2 of 3 bumper starts last winter and has filled the same position in 2 hurdle outings this time round, late mistakes counting against him at Market Rasen latterly. More to come and the mount of Ben Jones from the Ben Pauling pair.

Fair form when reaching the frame in all 3 bumper starts in Ireland over the summer. Should have a future over jumps but might be best watched this time.

Point recruit who made a winning start to his Rules career in a Worcester bumper in October 2022 but hasn't been since. Makes his belated return with his yard going well but can only watch after such a huge absence.

Promising third in a bumper for Paul Nicholls last season and shaped well again when runner-up on hurdle/stable debut over 2m at Lingfield on reappearance.

£280,000 point winner who impressed when following up in a Newbury bumper for new connections back in March. That makes her 2 hurdle efforts this autumn a bit underwhelming but it's still early days.

Zamek can build on his encouraging hurdle debut second at Lingfield and provide the chief threat ahead of Lock Stock. Nicky Henderson has a strong record in this maiden so it'll also be interesting to see how strong the market vibes are behind his point recruit Ionian.
