Useful colt who bagged a 7f listed race at Newmarket last term. Found Jersey at Royal Ascot too hot next time but was quickly back to form when fourth of 9 to Lead Artist in Group 3 at Goodwood on final run for Roger Varian. Goes well fresh and respected on for first run for new yard/handicap debut.

Proved better than ever when winning 22-runner Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster (8f, good) 89 days ago, suited by way race developed. 5 lb higher for tapeta debut but should give another good account.

Again paid his way in 2024, winning handicaps at Redcar and York. Shaped as if retaining all ability on first outing for a new stable (his owner Ray Craggs no longer training) after 9 months off when sixth of 12 at latter venue 13 days ago and now drops back in trip.

Useful handicapper who went winless in 6 starts last year but had excuses returning from 5 months off when seventh of 16 in handicap at Meydan (9f, good), not clear run under 2f out. Not dismissed back on all-weather.

Took a step back in the right direction when fifth at Epsom earlier in the month and seems to be building up to something again. Back on the same mark as when winning the Lincoln in 2024. One to consider.

Made light of an 11-month absence when easily off the mark in a Southwell maiden (1m) in March and impressively resumed winning ways in handicap at Kempton (1m) last month. Reportedly lost his action when below form at Doncaster since but not taken lightly back on all-weather.

Yet to score in 2025 but arrives in decent nick, fifth of 11 in handicap at Haydock (8.2f, good to firm) on most recent outing. Should remain competitive.

Godwinson (2/1), Superposition (9/2), Fantastic Fox (11/2), Tribal Chief (11/2), Boiling Point (17/2), Nikovo (14/1), Local Hero (14/1), Mr Professor (16/1), Ron O (20/1), Silent Film (33/1)

15:45 Newcastle - 26 June 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

SUPERPOSITION had an excuse (lost action) when disappointing on his most recent turf outing and, having drew clear of a subsequent winner in taking fashion at Kempton the time before, he remains of interest, particularly now returning to all-weather. Boiling Point goes well fresh and is interesting off top weight on his handicap/stable debut, with Lincoln winner Godwinson also requiring plenty of respect.
