Found his feet for new yard in recent months, causing something of a surprise when resuming winning ways at Thirsk (1m) in April. Backed that up when a running third back at that track/trip 6 weeks ago and he's fancied to make his presence felt again.

Best run of the season with third in a 14-runner handicap on the all-weather in March but below form over shorter trips back on the turf subsequently. She was a winner from this mark last season though, so no surprise to see a better effort back a 7f down markedly in class.

Signed off last term with a career-best victory in a 12-runner handicap at Musselburgh (7.1f, good to soft) in November Appeals as the type to progress further at 4 yrs and best not judged too harshly on last month's Ayr return having been left poorly placed. Better anticipated despite tricky draw.

Already successful twice this term, quickening to lead late on for the latest of them at Beverley (7.4f) in May. Ran another solid race when second in class 4 handicap at Carlisle (7.9f) 25 days ago and easy to envisage her being thereabouts again from a handy draw.

Signed off 2024 with success at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in October and looked better than ever following his reappearance this term, winning back-to-back 1m handicaps at Chepstow/Bath last month. Up 4 lb in what is a stronger race but he can't be ruled out in present groove.

Still a maiden but has found his level, again going well from the front when third of 6 in handicap (10/3) at Beverley (8.4f, good) 20 days ago. Ease back down in trip shouldn't pose any fears and likely to give it his best shot again from the plum draw in stall 1.

7-y-o who served notice that his turn isn't far away when runner-up at Southwell (1m) in April. Latest seventh of 9 in handicap back there has to go down as disappointing on the back of that but his record is somewhat hit and miss.

Went closer than previously for present yard when runner-up at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in September. Couldn't build on that in trio of starts thereafter and market may prove the best guide back from 7 months off.

Goes well with plenty of give underfoot, 2 of her 3 victories last season coming over 7f here. Showed more than previously this term when fourth of 12 in handicap at Carlisle (7.8f, soft) 15 days ago but she wouldn't want the ground to dry out too much. 4 lb out of the weights today.

16:35 Chester - 13 June 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

JOHN L SULLIVAN's wide draw may not be the negative it first appears for one with his style so, with a recent run under his belt at Ayr 23 days ago likely to have blown the cobwebs away, he's narrowly selected to come out on top from what looks an exploitable mark. There are several in-form sorts in opposition though, headed up by Vixey, Original Thinker and Dappled Light. Super Hit isn't out of things either.
