Has developed into a mainstay in top handicap hurdles and boasts a superbly consistent record. Shaped well in defeat when caught further back than the placed trio last time, finishing fourth of 20 behind Wellington Arch at Aintree. Dangerous if this is run to suit.

Fairly useful hurdler for Mlle D. Mele in France and was much nearer to her best French form on second start for Willie Mullins, made most of good opportunity down in trip when landing a 3-runner mares hurdle at Limerick (16.2f). Unexposed over the longer trip.

Useful hurdler for Willie Mullins (broke maiden at this track) and shaped much better than on debut for this yard when 9½ lengths seventh of 16 in handicap at Fairyhouse (16f) last month. Will need to step forward again.

Useful sort won his first 2 races for current yard in the spring of 2023. Lightly raced since and shaped well at Naas on reappearance in March. He's much better than he showed at Aintree last month and it would be no surprise to see him bounce back.

Has made a most promising start for new connections since being purchased for 6 figures, shaped encouragingly when third at Naas (20f) over hurdles on stable debut prior to chasing home a highly progressive sort in the Plate Chase at Cheltenham. Races from 8 lb lower back over hurdles. Big chance.

C&D winner posted a career-best when second in one of the lesser Pertemps qualifiers but faced a much tougher task off 5 lb higher in the Final at the Festival, finishing 8th of 24. Handicapper quick to drop him 4 lb and he could have a say back at 2½m if this is truly-run.

Course winner was as good as ever over hurdles when runner-up in a Mares Grade at this venue in February. Never landed a blow when seventh of 11 in handicap chase at Fairyhouse (21f, soft, 10/1) 11 days ago. Yard has had a couple of winners since and not ruled out back in a handicap.

Off the mark in testing conditions at Naas last season and ran her best race to date faced with better ground when third in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham (good to soft) 50 days ago. Lightly-raced and further improvement a possibility.

6-y-o typically travelled strongly when running a career best when third of 15 in handicap hurdle at Cork (19f, soft) 13 days ago, run out it late on having not been suited by the emphasis on stamina. Low mileage sort could improve back on better ground,

Only beaten by an improver from the Skelton yard when second on handicap debut at Uttoxeter (19.9f, soft) and took another step forward when positively ridden to land a 20-runner handicap hurdle at Aintree (20f), all out to hold on. Progressive but 7 lb rise makes life tougher.

Fell on his reappearance this season and was seemingly ridden with a view to restoring his confidence when seventh of 8 in handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe (16.8f) 22 days ago. Headgear again left off and connections may have one eye on Cartmel (landed a decent pot there previous 2 years).

Much improved on debut for this yard when winning a valuable event at the Dublin Racing Festival. Shaped creditably in the Morebattle next time but undone by some poor jumping when well held in the Coral Cup at the Festival. Bit to prove on the back of that effort.

Career best when winning 20-runner Grand Annual handicap chase at Cheltenham (15.9f, good to soft) prior to running creditably off lower hurdles mark when 4¾ lengths sixth of 16 to Lord Erskine in handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse. Should give another good account.

Bumper winner who made it third time lucky over hurdles in Naas maiden in February. Proved to be a disappointment sent handicapping minus a hood, well-beaten last of 16 behind Lord Erskine at Fairyhouse. No surprise to see hood quickly refitted and too soon to write him off yet.

17:25 Punchestown - 3 May 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

THECOMPANYSERGEANT has looked as good as ever since joining Gavin Cromwell and having chased home a most progressive winner of the Plate at Cheltenham, he may be able to exploit his lower hurdles mark here. Impose Toi has been a model of consistency in top handicaps, shaping well despite the race not being run to suit last time. He's a serious danger to all, while smooth-travelling Addragoole is no back number for the Cromwell yard and should benefit from this better ground.
