Winning sequence came to an end when 3L fourth in 7f Leicester handicap penultimately. Only beaten ½L here latest when third again over 7f so handicap may remain within range; back to 6f now but should go well.

Dual 6f AW winner for Charlie Hills ran just once and rather moderately for Sir Mark Todd and has again changed hands here. Enough question marks to look elsewhere.

Has been second three times this season so Catterick win latest was well deserved (6f, good to firm). Upped 5lb for that but this ultra-consistent sort should as usual go well.

Lone win remains a two-year-old Windsor maiden. Handicap on the slide but just haven't seen enough in three starts this season to recommend her albeit she has been set some stiff tasks.

Belatedly off the mark at Newbury over 7f (good) latest and won a shade cosily. Upped 7lb for that success but with confidence now boosted he can't be ignored.

Heavy ground Haydock winner on handicap debut but rather disappointing the last twice including over the winning C&D and same going latest when made favourite. Early season form would give him a squeak but doubts creeping in.

Winner at Windsor in June ran well enough next at Kempton before below par C&D effort latest when he never recovered from a slow start. Cheekpieces now applied and suspect he has a big effort in him.

Over two years since he won the Newbury Super Sprint and remains winless since. Three very ordinary efforts in 2019 suggest downward curve remains rapid.

Not the most consistent as her last two races show as she followed up a Nottingham win with a Thirsk last of 10 over the same trip and going. Less risky sorts elsewhere.

Not always convinced by his resolution but dual 7f winner this season ran well enough here in second over 1m latest. Step back to 6f may help focus him and the sort who could go well at a price.

Placed in all six starts this year so fact she is still winless on turf is more down to bad fortune than lack of aptitude. Close third over C&D two starts ago and over 5f at Windsor last twice off this mark and is again a solid each-way option.

1¼L third over 7½f at Ffos Las latest was his best effort to date. Unexposed having just had four starts and may enjoy a fast run 6f but this a major step up.

Fallen to a mark 10lb below last ,ark now in a winless 2019 where he's only once placed in 10 races. Appears on a downward spiral so others preferred.

Four-time winner 0-7 this season but made the frame the last twice so handicap mark looks realistic now. Place potential here.

Three wins only in his 52-race career and the latest came way back in 2017. In and out form in 2019 but far more likely winners than him in this contest.

14:45 Newmarket - 17 August 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Although the step back to 6f is a slight question mark the hugely progressive GLENN COCO is worth chancing again here after bouncing back latest at this course after winning four on the spin earlier this season. The highly consistent Lethal Angel should as usual be in the thick of the action and he could gain a deserved first win in 2019. Also to be respected is Chatham House whose performance last time out suggested him to be on the up.
  1. Glenn Coco
  2. Lethal Angel
  3. Chatham House
