1
Horse silk
6/5
137 rated hurdler who finished close up on the heels of Death Duty on chasing debut at Tipperary (2m7f soft) early last month. Whilst flattered by the winning margin, that effort sets the clear benchmark.
2
Horse silk
Champoleont16
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: Sean Flanagan| T: N Meade
5/1
Has taken his racing in his stride since returning from a lengthy absence in August. Beaten 8L by Presenting Percy on chasing debut at Galway last month (2m6f+ heavy) and that offers encouragement for the future.
3
Horse silk
Maighnealtat33
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: A E Lynch| T: D McDonogh| OR:  96| C
66/1
A winner of a 2m4f handicap hurdle here in December 2016, but barren since, including in a couple of starts over fences, and will struggle to compete on these unfavourable terms.
4
Horse silk
Shower Crossh16
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: A McCurtin(5)| T: J J Walsh
66/1
Winning pointer (3m good) who is lightly raced under rules. Finished well in rear at Galway latest (Champoleon third) and little realistic chance today.
5
Horse silk
50/1
Enjoyed a productive summer over hurdles, winning three times (Tipperary, Limerick and Ballinrobe). Options limited over hurdles now following a sharp rise in the weights, and yet to make his mark over fences, albeit out of his depth.
6
Horse silk
Thebarrowman12
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: R Loughran| T: A Keatley| C
6/1
Has reasonable past course form (bumper winner), but would've finished only third to Tombstone at Down Royal on his recent chasing debut, but for the final fence fall of Gilt Shadow. Playing for places at the very best.
7
Horse silk
Woods Well202
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| C
2/1
A reasonably talented hurdler, and a course winner on New Years Day (2m4f maiden hurdle). Ended last season in a competitive handicap hurdle at Punchestown in April, and switches to fences for his seasonal reappearance.
8
Horse silk
Conduct Yourself39
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-5| J: Brian Hayes| T: J E Kiely| D
25/1
Four time hurdles scorer (up to 2m5f) who got no further than the first on her chasing debut at Tramore in August. Better over C&D latest when a distant 26L runner up to Shattered Love.
9
Horse silk
66/1
A dual scorer in point-to-points (3m soft to heavy), but untried under rules prior to this and looks well out of her depth.

Forecasts

Cap D'Aubois (6/5), Woods Well (2/1), Champoleon (5/1), Thebarrowman (6/1), Conduct Yourself (25/1), Snugsborough Benny (50/1), Shower Cross (66/1), Maighnealta (66/1), Florianopolis (66/1)

12:45 Fairyhouse - 15 November 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

CAP D'AUBOIS and Ruby Walsh gave Davy Russell a brief scare aboard Death Duty at Tipperary last month, but in all fairness, the winner was value for plenty more than the winning three quarters of a length margin at the finish. Nevertheless, that effort represented a pleasing start over fences for the Willie Mullins trained five-year-old, and despite a slight drop in trip today, he only needs to produce a similar showing under Paul Townend in order to get off the mark at the second attempt over fences.
  1. Cap D'aubois
  2. Champoleon
  3. Woods Well
