Ran a sound race under this rider at Chelmsford over this trip last month on reappearance, not beaten far and could have a prominent role here if building on it.

A superb servant, he's making the 124th start of his career and a recent runner-up finish at Chelmsford over 6f off this mark suggests a 16th success isn't beyond him.

He's on a sustained losing run but slipping mark will surely see it end soon, gave it a fair crack over 1m at Lingfield on Monday and tends to hit stride after a few runs back in.

Ended 16-race losing streak at Kempton in February on AW and followed up last month at Lingfield, both over the mile. Has won over this trip in the past so hat-trick isn't ruled out given current state of mind.

Has demonstrated enough in five AW starts since joining this yard to suggest he has a decent opportunity here of getting back to winning ways off a 9lb lower mark now returning to the turf. Respected.

Impossible to fancy judged on recent efforts on the AW circuit but is a better horse on turf and an improved showing isn't ruled out with cheekpieces back in place here.

Just one win from 27 career starts, has been struggling lately on the AW, others make more appeal in this line-up.

Not won or placed since June 2014 when winning off a much higher mark at Leopardstown, though was a close fourth over 1m2f at Lingfield in November. Struggled in first-time cheekpieces (retained here) last time out in January.

A 15-race maiden, there was nothing in recent reappearance at Windsor to suggest that run is ready to end. Will strip fitted now but doesn't appeal on current terms.

Forecasts

Almanack (13/8), Mister Musicmaster (6/1), Concur (7/1), Living Leader (8/1), General Brook (17/2), Quintus Cerialis (9/1), Knight Of The Air (9/1), Mambo Spirit (16/1), Imperial Link (20/1)

17:30 Salisbury - 30 April 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The hat-trick seeking Living Leader is clearly on excellent terms with himself, though this drop back in distance might be enough to halt his rejuvenation for now. Knight Of The Air is considered after his recent effort at Chelmsford while Mister Musicmaster showed at Lingfield on Monday that a change in fortune might not be far away for him. The honourable Mambo Spirit isn't discounted but ALMANACK gets in here on an excellent mark returning to turf and has shown signs recently on the AW that'll he will be able to take advantage of it.
  1. Almanack
  2. Knight Of The Air
