Euro 2020 odds: England tournament favourites after Scotland set up Wembley clash

With the draw for Euro 2020 now complete, England have been priced as favourites to win next summer's delayed tournament.

While England were cruising to a 3-0 friendly victory of the Republic of Ireland, Scotland were securing their place at next summer’s rescheduled finals with a dramatic penalty shoot-out win in Serbia.

Steve Clarke’s side ended a 22-year wait to qualify for a major tournament and will now join the Three Lions in Group D – with a Wembley clash between the pair slated for June 18.

Unsurprisingly, with all of England's matches scheduled to be played at Wembley, and the group completed by Croatia and the Czech Republic, they are 2/5 to finish top; Scotland are as big as 66/1.

Perhaps more of a surprise though is – at 9/2 they're even shorter than the world's number one team, Belgium.

Euro 2020 winner odds

  • England - 9/2
  • Belgium - 5/1
  • France - 11/2
  • Germany, Netherlands - 7/1
  • Spain - 8/1

Home advantage, not only in the group stage but in the semi-finals and final should England get to that stage, seems to be playing a strong role in the odds.

The Three Lions' run to the last four of both the 2018 World Cup and last year's inaugural Nations League has shown their credentials as a top side under Southgate.

Combine those two factors with the recent win over Belgium at Wembley and there is a growing feeling among bookmakers that this could be the first English team to triumph at a major tournament since 1966.
