There were 32 nations who started out in the annual pairs event at the Eissporthalle, with Netherlands duo Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld bidding to defend their crown.

And they did just that by defeating the Scottish top seeds of Peter Wright and Gary Anderson in the final, which saw them become the joint most successful nation in the competition's eight-staging history alongside England with four victories.

Look back at how the tournament unfolded with all the results and links to each day's review.
