The 2016 darts season, which started with Gary Anderson's successful defence of his PDC World Championship title, has now come to an end, with one man in particular dominating the limelight.
Michael van Gerwen claimed all but one of the other 10 major television titles in a remarkable 12 months which saw him end the calendar year with 25 tournament triumphs overall before storming to glory at the 2017 World Darts Championship on January 2.
